The Ricoh Women’s British Open at Carnoustie Golf Links: 28 to 31 July 2011

The Ricoh Women’s British Open is one of the golfing highlights of the sporting calendar. In its 36th year, this year’s Championship makes its first appearance at one of the most famous and challenging links courses in the UK, Carnoustie Golf Links. The Scottish club is a fitting stage on which to perform for the world’s leading players over what will be 4 memorable days from the 28th – 31st of July, 2011. Along with the superb golf on show at the Carnoustie Golf Links, spectators will find the perfect opportunity to relax and savour the atmosphere when not out on the course; the Championship Village will host a number of exhibition and retail units, interactive activities, and public catering facilities for the whole family to enjoy. The 2011 Ricoh Women’s British Open is all set to be another fantastic tournament. Aberdeen International Youth Festival: Wednesday July 27 to Saturday August 6

Aberdeen International Youth Festival is recognised as one of the leading youth arts events held anywhere in the world. Now in its 39th year, this celebratory multi-arts event provides a 10 day whirlwind of shows that include classical music, dance, jazz and theatre. There are also a number of workshops and master-classes available that run in tandem with the main festival programme.


Many shows have special value tickets for families and OAP’s and some of the events are free.
One of the highlights of this year’s festival will include a series of choral concerts from the National Youth Choir of Scotland, an Icelandic female choir and Norway’s finest choristers, ‘Stord Undomsker’.


There is also an extensive classical music programme, big band jazz performances and some electrifying dance shows on offer.


As part of the AIYF Scottish Festival Tour some of our top acts will also be performing at venues in Inverness, Perth, Dunfermline and Montrose.

The Barclays Scottish Open at Castle Stuart Golf Links: 7 to 10 July 2011

The Barclays Scottish Open at Castle Stuart Golf Links is situated between Inverness and Nairn on Scotland’s Moray Firth coast.
