Celtic Connections: Glasgow's Folk, Roots and World Music Festival

If you're looking for a winter festival to brighten up the dark January nights, make sure you head to Glasgow from 19th January to 5th February 2012 for Celtic Connections - a celebration of Celtic music and its cultural connections, programmed by Artistic Director, Donald Shaw.

This year's folk, roots and world music festival will feature over 300 events, across a range of music genres, with 2,100 musicians from across the globe. As well as 18 days of concerts, there are ceilidhs, art exhibitions, workshops, talks and free events. The festival is known for its spirit of collaboration, with one-off line-ups for 'one night only' collaborative shows.
