Stirling Castle is open for visitors during the Christmas season

For generations Scotland’s royalty gathered at Stirling Castle to revel in its impressive buildings, superb sculptures, fine craftsmanship and beautiful surroundings. Today visitors can do the same.

Visit the impressive Great Hall, marvel at the magnificent tapestries or take a guided tour of the castle and hear all about the colourful characters that have graced the court over the centuries. A free guided tour of Argyll’s Lodgings is also included in entry price. Car parking, shops and cafĂ© on site.

Right now Historic Scotland is undertaking a £12 million project to return Stirling Castle’s magnificent Renaissance Palace back to its original splendour. From 2011 visitors can look forward to a tremendous and unique experience.

Throughout the year Stirling Castle also plays host to a wide range of festive entertaining and informative events that all the family can enjoy.
